Edwin and his crew were on time, professional, and detail oriented. Cal-Sierra was the only contractor that called me back once a spot opened up. Dan did the estimate, great talking with him. His son Tyler went out of the way to make sure details of the project were seen through. The rock stars were absolutely Edwin and his team. I highly recommend this team.

Great fence. People walking out behind the yard have commented on the fences and I have and will continue to steer them in the right direction. My sincere thanks to you and your crew.

Thanks for the great service! A contractor that actually does what they say they are going to do and shows up when they say they are going to. You get it! Thanks again.

Your employees were prompt and conscientious, and worked hard to do the job right. You're lucky to have employees that are self-directed and so skilled. Thank you for the fence, and please extend my appreciation to your employees.

Common Questions

Frequently Asked Questions

Answers to the most common questions we get from homeowners about fencing projects.

Most residential fence installations are completed in 1 to 3 days, depending on the length, terrain, and type of fencing. Larger commercial or ranch projects may take longer. During your free site assessment, we will provide a clear timeline for your specific project.

Yes. We provide complimentary on-site assessments at no cost and no obligation. The owner personally visits your property, discusses your needs, reviews material options, takes measurements, and provides a detailed written estimate.

We install wood fences (redwood and cedar), ornamental and wrought iron fences, chain link fencing, corral and ranch fencing, custom entrance gates with automatic operators, and retaining walls. We handle residential, commercial, and agricultural projects across Sacramento, Placer, El Dorado, and Yolo counties.

Permit requirements vary by city and county. In most Sacramento Valley jurisdictions, fences under 6 feet in a backyard typically do not require a permit, but front yard fences and taller structures often do. We are familiar with local building codes and can advise you during your estimate.

We recommend inspecting your wood fence annually for loose boards, leaning posts, or signs of rot. Applying a quality wood sealant or stain every 2 to 3 years will protect against moisture and UV damage. Keeping sprinklers aimed away from the fence and trimming vegetation along the fence line also extends its life.

Traditional wrought iron is hand-forged from iron with a low carbon content, making it very strong but expensive. Modern ornamental iron (sometimes called tubular steel) is manufactured to replicate the look of wrought iron at a lower cost. Both provide excellent security and curb appeal. We install ornamental iron fencing with powder-coated finishes that resist rust and require minimal maintenance.
